Bargara Central ATM targeted as Bundaberg police investigate

The normally quiet seaside town of Bargara was the scene of a brazen heist in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Police are investigating after a car was used to smash into the Bargara Rd shopping centre.

“Around 4.15am this morning a vehicle was used to smash into a shopping centre on Bargara Rd,” a spokesman said.
“Thieves then attempted to remove the ATM, however this failed, but they did manage to steal some cash from the machine.”
Police say investigations are ongoing.
