Bundaberg police investigate crime in Calavos, Bundaberg East

From break and enter to stolen licence plates, cars and traffic offences, Bundaberg police are investigating a string of crimes where thieves have even made off with frozen food.

Bundaberg police have revealed a series of crimes under investigation following recent criminal activity in the region, and ask that anyone with any information to help solve the crimes contact them.

Break and enter, Bundaberg East

Between August 11 and August 28, a home on Eastgate Street, Bundaberg East was unlawfully entered and a number of property items were stolen including a television, variety of Xbox One games and frozen food.

Steal from car, Bundaberg Central

Overnight on August 28, an unlocked car parked on Barolin Street, Bundaberg Central was unlawfully entered and a number of property items stolen, including a wallet with a driver’s licence, bank cards and other identification cards.

Stealing, Calavos

Overnight on August 26, 18 roadworks signs were stolen from Fallon Rocks Road, Calavos.

Registration plates targeted

Overnight on August 27, a Queensland registration plate bearing 884 FMI was stolen from a car parked on Jocumsen Street, Kepnock.

Between August 27-28, both the front and rear registration plates bearing 380 FKB were stolen from a car parked on Mackerel Street, Woodgate.

Traffic infringement notices issued

Unfortunately, some motorists are still not getting the message that speeding is one of the major killers on Queensland roads with a number of high speeds recorded in the Bundaberg Patrol Group area.

A 54-year-old Kepnock man was fined $459 and lost four demerit points for exceeding 100km/h by more than 20km/h but not more than 30km/h along Goodwood Road, Goodwood.

A 36-year-old Gooburrum man was issued a issued traffic infringement notice for exceeding 100km/h by more than 30km/h but not more than 40km/h along the Bruce Highway, Isis River. He was fined $643 and lost six demerit points.

A 44-year-old Woodgate man was issued a traffic infringement notice for exceeding speed limit in speed zone by more than 20km/h but not more than 30km/h along the Bruce Highway, South Isis. He was fined $459 and lost four demerit points.
