Bundaberg Covid: 53 new cases recorded

Queensland records 16,031 new COVID-19 cases

One person died from Covid in the Wide Bay overnight Friday as Bundaberg’s case numbers continue to climb.

Queensland Health confirmed the death in the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service, but said it could not reveal which local government area the person was from on privacy grounds.

The WBHHS covers the Fraser Coast, Bundaberg, North Burnett and parts of the Gladstone region.

A total of 1399 Covid cases have now been recorded in Bundaberg.

Bundaberg recorded 53 cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, as of 3pm.

Local residents are reminded to reduce their risk when out in the community by wearing a mask, maintaining social distancing, performing regular hand hygiene, monitoring for symptoms and getting tested if you develop any symptoms.
