Tributes flow for Jaydan Doorley following death in crash

Friends of a 21-year-old man killed in a crash between his motorcycle and a ute have described him as a ‘beautiful’ soul who ‘did not deserve to go out like this’. TRIBUTES

The family of Jaydan Doorley has confirmed he was the 21-year-old Bargara man tragically killed in a crash at Kepnock on Thursday, October 12.

The former Kepnock State High School student died soon after being transported to Bundaberg Hospital in a critical condition following the crash between his motorcycle and a ute on Kepnock Rd around 4.30pm.

Tributes have flowed for Mr Doorley as friends and family come to terms with the loss of the young man they described as a “beautiful soul”.

Best friend Tobias Carkeet said in a Facebook post on Thursday “love ya brother, can’t believe I lost one of my best mates”.

“Fly high you beautiful soul,” he said.

On Friday, the day after the crash, Mr Carkeet said he woke up still in disbelief at the loss of his friend.

“I thought I‘d wake up and it would all be a dream,” his post read.

“Love and miss you already brother.”

Echoing Mr Carkeet’s message, Elle Louise said “fly high you beautiful soul! So many broken hearts tonight!!!!”

Another friend, Tyla Johnston, said Mr Doorley “didn’t deserve to go out like this”.

“I love you cuz, I’m sorry this happened to you,” she said.

Rhiannon Kreibke said “he was too beautiful to go, rest in peace angel”.

Other commenters were struggling to accept the sudden and unexpected loss.

“I’m in shock and absolutely devastated,” said Linda Portelli, while Karina Anne said “rest in paradise still feels so surreal”.

Many friends sent their condolences and best wishes to Mr Doorley ’s grieving family.

Lance Stitt said “RIP mate you will be sadly missed condolences to your family”, while Rochelle Fisher said “so sad … you‘ll be missed dearly..... condolences to your family”.
