More than 400 people have voted and helped crown Nanango sparkie Elliot Mangan the Wide Bay Burnett’s hottest tradie for 2023.
The 31-year-old electrician works for Nanango’s Mangan Electrical, and scored 23 per cent of the total votes to take the title.
Elliot became an apprentice electrician straight out of high school, chasing an apprenticeship in Brisbane before returning to his hometown.
Inspired by his parents, and full of entrepreneurial ideas, he started his own business in the South Burnett, one that has grown over the past four and a half years.
“I grew up with most of my family owning businesses, my mum and dad owning businesses, both my brothers owning a business, it just runs in the family,” he said.
He credits the ongoing success of his business to the support of his family and his team of employees.
“We’ve got an amazing crew, our team is amazing and our customer base is awesome,” he said.
“Word of mouth is a big thing for us.”
As the business looks to the future, Elliot already has plans to expand into the Sunshine Coast, where he spent several years living and working while still operating in the South Burnett.
On a more personal note we hate to break it to you ladies, but this tradie is already taken and married and spends much of his spare time in the great outdoors with his partner of five years, Brooke Mangan.
Meet the other tradies who placed in the top five:
