Two paramedics were rushed to hospital with suspected spinal injuries after their ambulance collided with another vehicle in Meadowvale on Thursday evening.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said units were called to Mercers Rd near Rosedale Rd in Meadowvale at 6.15pm following reports of a crash involving an ambulance and a 2002 Volvo station wagon.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the two male paramedics, one in his 30s and another in his 20s, were transported to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition with spinal, head and shoulder injuries.

The driver and passenger of the Volvo station wagon, a man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s, were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said two firecrews arrived at the scene around 6.30pm, following reports that the ambulance had rolled multiple times.

None of the people involved in the crash were entrapped in the vehicles, and QFES crews ensured the vehicles were safe and left the scene at 7pm.

The QPS spokesperson said the Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and no charges have been laid at this stage.
