Cameron Svensson says he entered a charity raffle because he wanted to support a cause, but had no idea he’d be the new owner of the vintage ride.

“My mate at work was talking about a ’71 Holden on Classics for a Cause,” he said.
“I remembered the name and became a subscriber.”
Mr Svensson said he was in shock and awe following the win, and beyond excited to get behind the wheel.
“I bought a subscription, mainly for the cause, I never really thought I’d win but there you go… I won,” he said.
Classics for a Cause was co-founded by Thomas Bailey, who wanted to start a charity that could help former Australian Defence Force members.
Mr Bailey suffered the loss of a friend to suicide, spurring him on to the good cause.
“The latest ABS data found 163,112 current serving and ex-serving ADF members lived in Queensland in 2021,” he said.
“Sadly, our research reveals that 38 per cent of Brisbanites think that Australia is letting the ADF veterans down and 57 per cent believe there needs to be more support available.”
Mr Bailey said the charity hosted classic car raffles every month, and part of the proceeds went to veteran charities such as PTSD Dogs Australia, Invisible Injuries and Salute For Service.
“Since launching in 2019, we have helped raise and donate a sum equating to over $2.6 million to our veteran charity partners,” he said.
“Being able to provide that much-needed support to the veteran community is very rewarding.”
