Bundaberg’s community crime prevention officer Senior Constable Brittany Duncan has received a top award for her hard work.

Senior Constable Duncan was handed the Brian Prince Award, a special form of recognition named in honour of paramedic and Rotarian Brian Prince.

These annual Bundaberg based awards celebrate the outstanding work of those in our emergency services organisations.

Senior Constable Duncan is dedicated to working with all members of the community, ranging from very young children in kindergarten to elderly residents in retirement villages.

She can often be spotted at local Neighbourhood Watch meetings or out and about in shopping centres and community events with her trusty Volunteers in Police.

Her presentations can cover anything from personal safety, cyber safety awareness, property security to road safety.

In August, Senior Constable Duncan was one of the driving forces behind the reintroduction of the Rotary Youth Driver Awareness program in Bundaberg.

Bundaberg Police Inspector Grant Marcus congratulated the officer on her outstanding achievement.

“Senior Constable Duncan is a valued member of the Bundaberg Patrol Group providing crime prevention activities in support of our frontline police,” he said.
