Two different businesses have lodged plans with the Bundaberg Regional Council in the past week for several lots in a growing suburb near the city’s airport.

On Monday, July 15, Future RV Pty Ltd applied for a material change of use over 8, 10 and 12 Airport Dr in Kensington near Liberty Oil.

The application is for light industry.

An ASIC document search showed the RV business was registered in Queensland in 2022 with its principal place of business the Green RV in Forest Glen, on the Sunshine Coast, and the director is Jack Green. The business was originally a Gympie enterprise established by Jack’s father, Carl Green.

It also has another dealership in South Brisbane.

Green RV stocks Regent Caravans, Snowy River and Avida brands and also buys used caravans.

Its website describes it as an Australian family-owned and operated business “committed to helping our customers find their perfect caravan”.

On July 18, K&L Steinhardt Holdings Pty Ltd also lodged an application for a material change of use to nearby 10 and 12 Lillian Crescent in the same suburb.

The business hopes for a material change of use to the site for a showroom and snack bar along with light industry.

The site of the proposal is near Fantastic Furniture.

There was no other information available in the council’s development portal for either application at the time of publication.

The latest development applications follow the plans for a two-storey business building in 15 Aviation Crescent, Kensington, which was submitted to the council last year, and a hotel on Airport Dr that was pitched to the council earlier this year.
