The Lighthouse Rock Festival will be returning to Burnett Heads for its second year, following the success of its first event in 2022, which sold out with headliner, Jimmy Barnes.
The festival will be held on Saturday October 14, at Lighthouse Field, Burnett Heads with headliners Icehouse and The Living End.
Festival director Gavin Hale said this year’s event was “shaping up to be even better than 2022”.
“With more bars and food options, larger capacity for the audience to enjoy, this is another one not to be missed,” he said.
“I am excited to be able to bring this stellar line-up to our town.”

HEADLINERS
Icehouse
Over 46 years, Icehouse has had 28 Platinum albums, eight Top 10 albums and over 30 Top 40 singles.
“Great Southern Land has been a part of almost every Australian summer soundtrack for the past 40 years and in 2014, it was inducted into the National Film and Sound Archive’s Sounds of Australia registry,” a festival spokesperson said.
The Living End
Lighthouse Rock has described The Living End as one of Australia’s most ferocious live acts, headlining festivals around the country, and averaging over 120 shows each year.
The Living End rose to fame after the release of their 1997 double A-sided single, Second Solution/ Prisoner of Society, which peaked at number four on the Australian Singles Chart and went on to sell triple platinum.
They have released seven studio albums, over their 26 year career.
Baby Animals
“Baby Animals fell on Australia’s radar in the summer of 1991-1992 with their hit single, Early Warning,” according to Lighthouse Rock’s spokesman.
“Released the same month as Nirvana’s Nevermind, Baby Animal’s debut single sold almost twice as many copies as Nirvana’s hit in Australia.”
The Screaming Jets
During their three-decade career, The Screaming Jets have scored multiple gold and platinum records and reached the Australia ARIA Charts Top 5 for four of their nine studio albums.
Lighthouse Rock spokesman said, “even before they signed their first record deal (in 1989), The Screaming Jets had already clocked up more than 200 live shows and won the ‘Triple J Battle Of The Bands’ competition.”
