Motorcyclist killed, city roads gridlocked after Hale St crash
A female motorcyclist was killed and commuters experienced delays of more than an hour across the inner-city after a horror crash on one of Brisbane’s busiest roads.

A MOTORCYCLIST was killed and Brisbane’s inner-city roads gridlocked after a crash involving a 4WD at around 3.30pm on Thursday.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics treated one female for critical injuries at the scene however she died at the scene.
The crash, which occurred on Hale St prior to the Musgrave Road exit just past the Caxton St ramp in the northbound direction, has been cleared.
Police said the woman in her 40s, of Bridgeman Downs, had been travelling north on Hale St when she when she collided with a vehicle and came off her bike near the Caxton St off-ramp.
On-ramps to Hale St from Coronation Drive, the Go Between Bridge, Milton Rd and the Pacific Motorway have since reopened.
Queensland Traffic Metro said delays have cleared inbound on Coronation Dr between Toowong and Milton, Milton Rd between Auchenflower and Milton, northbound on the Go Between Bridge and northbound on the Pacific Mwy from Greenslopes to the City.
Buses travelling both directions in the Brisbane CBD have returned to schedule
Police are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash and have appealed for any witnesses or anyone with dash cam vision to come forward.
