Cricketer Moises Henriques is selling his former matrimonial home in Clovelly.

The home has been listed through local agent Bethwyn Richards, who has a $7.5m guide for its November 9 auction.

The Sydney Sixers Big Bash player built the home with his former wife, one-time KIIS FM newsreader Krista Thomas, in 2019, after paying $3,125,000 for an original 1930s home a year earlier.

The former couple were relocating from their three-bedroom $2.08m Clovelly townhouse.

The upgrade came after Henriques enjoyed success in the lucrative Indian Premier League with the SunRisers Hyderabad.

The living room is next to the Miele-fitted kitchen with a striking bespoke island that doubles up as a dining table.

The space opens to a rear alfresco area with built-in outdoor barbecue under skylights.

Last month, Henriques secured Randwick Council approval to include a pool into the Secret Gardens landscaping.

Henriques was the youngest NSW one-day debutant and has been a mainstay in the Sixers since 2011.

In his 205 T20 matches, Henriques has scored 3775 runs and his fast-medium pace bowling has delivered 108 wickets.

There are 10,000 members signed up for the upcoming BBL and WBBL seasons.

Sunday Confidential revealed Henriques was dating Weekend Today co-host Sophie Walsh in February.

NO LACK OF CONFIDENCE IN BLEAK CITY IMITATION

It’s set to be Bleak City’s poor imitation of Luxe Listings Sydney, with Listing Melbourne launching on Channel 9 this week apparently with its own Gavin Rubinstein.

Lookalike agent Fraser Lack stars in the series in what’s been billed as showcasing the “glamorous, high-stakes world of Melbourne’s luxury real estate market”.

Listing Melbourne reputedly “pulls back the curtain on one of the world’s most dynamic property markets, where opulent homes, multimillion-dollar deals and cutthroat competition are the daily reality for five elite estate agents”.

Lack, who started his career in the family agency just five years ago, has sold 15 properties in the past year at a $935,000 median price, according to his realestate.com.au profile, along with another 30 in conjunction with his estate agent father, David. His credited sales have ranged from $227,000 for an art deco studio space to a $2.9m mansion. The 25-year-old reckons his beard helps with the challenge of being seen as too young.

A Nine Entertainment news article gushed that Lack’s “deep knowledge of the local market, innovative marketing strategies and personal management of every sale campaign have earned him a reputation for delivering premium outcomes”.

Lack’s real claim to fame is that he featured last year on Survivor Australia, the Channel 10 show, in its Heroes v Villains series, resplendent with his tatts.

The viewing public’s popular Google search queries for both Lack and Rubinstein seek out their respective heights. Lack says he is 5.7ft high and weighs 62kg.

“I’m 5.1, maybe 5.2, if I wear boots,” Rubinstein, whose current median sale price is $6.25m, once jokingly advised.

Lack, with 14,000 followers on Instagram, has a way to catch up to Rubinstein’s 84,000. Like Rubinstein, Lack’s Instagram promotes his fitness regime. “I try my best to be at the gym by 5.32am.” They both also promote their tailor-made suits, although Lack’s go nameless.

Lack doesn’t mention Rubinstein when he lists his mentors as being Josh Fagan, Tom Panos and Marty Fox.

“I don’t believe in imitation,” he stressed in a recent podcast.

He has been stalked by the anonymous Lords of Property Instagram page, with Lack telling The Upshot Podcast by Homely that the “toxic and negative” postings “had hurt”.

“But now, going through that scrutiny and ridicule, I feel untouchable and it has made me who I am today,” he said.

It was Homely’s Ben Williams who first advised: “I see you as the Victorian Gavin Rubinstein.”

Produced by Abode Entertainment, Listing Melbourne also features another agent with just five years’ experience, Diana Kozlowska at Shape Property, who has a $660,000 sale median.

Meanwhile, Amazon Prime Video’s Luxe Listings Sydney, which also featured veterans Monika Tu, D’Leanne Lewis and Simon Cohen, has been officially shuttered.

“One of the producers argued with the other producer, and I just said, it’s too hard, shut the whole thing down,” KIIS broadcaster Kyle Sandilands, the brains behind the series, told Kyle & Jackie O Show listeners this week.

Sandilands then let slip “we’re making a new one” but his manager Bruno Bouchet declined to elaborate about it.

GIANTS STAR TO PUNT STYLISH 1920S NORTH BONDI HOME

Fresh from committing to another year with the GWS Giants, veteran player Callan Ward and his expectant wife, Ruby Keddie, have listed their North Bondi home.

Bought for $4.866m in 2022, it has a guide of $4.8m through Sydney Sotheby’s Double Bay agents James Ball and Edward Quince, who have the conjunctional listing with Ray White.

The 1920s home, which was renovated fully in 2021, hasn’t been touched in the past three years.

It is being marketed as being “influenced by the renowned modernist school of architecture, with sweeping geometric curves, generous proportions and seamless integration of indoor and outdoor living spaces”.

Architect James Garvin designed the Midelton Ave home that has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a rear entertaining deck with infra-red sauna and beach shower.

The home features hydronic heated floors, terrazzo and mosaic-tiled bathrooms, a plush pink kitchen and a striking steel stairway.

The couple are expecting their third boy next month.

Ward, 34, last month signed on for his 18th season in the AFL, but had been weighing up a move back to his native Melbourne, according to some reports. He has spent the past 14 years with GWS, having initially been with the Western Bulldogs.

Ward told AFL.com.au earlier this year that he had been contemplating retirement but that the arrival of coach Adam Kingsley ahead of the 2023 season reignited his love for the game.

Ward’s two-bedroom 1920s Bronte investment, which he bought for $1,606,000 in 2017, is also for sale at $1.775m through Raine & Horne Double Bay/Bondi Beach agent Mark Yeats.

It has 65sq m of internal living space and a 31sq m northeast-facing deck with valley and ocean views.

WILL IT BE THIRD TIME LUCKY FORTILLEY?

Interior decorator Janelle “Nellie” Tilley has relisted her Bellevue Hill apartment as an off-market listing.

Alan Fettes at Ray White is the third agent Tilley has used to try to find a buyer in the past three years.

It was first listed unsuccessfully in 2021, with a $7.5m price guide, with LJ Hooker agents David Malouf and Michael Paroulakis.

The former wife of Simon Tilley paid $3.05m for the Aston Gardens apartment in 2018.

Set in a block of four, the four-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, which spans 220sq m in a 1920s whitewashed Spanish mission block, occupies an entire floor below street level.

It was bought after Tilley pocketed $6.2m for her Cooper St, Double Bay, 1890s Victorian terrace, which appeared in Vogue Living after its renovation.

Tilley was the mystery decorator who furnished the $13.1m Vaucluse love nest mansion secretly bought by WiseTech Global billionaire Richard White as a residence for his ex-lover Linda Rogan, who founded Bionik Wellness. There is an ongoing court dispute between White and Rogan about the $91,000 worth of luxury furniture that fitted out the Dalley Ave house. The court has been told Tilley was required to enter a nondisclosure agreement with White for her design role.

This week it emerged that Tilley, who now uses her maiden name Foster, has pleaded not guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm, with the hearing set for March next year. It involved her former Greek lover Paris Saint.

NO JOKE AS FUNNY HILL HITS MARKET

Funny Hill, the Carr family’s iconic pastoral holding in southern New South Wales, has been listed with $60m-plus expectations, with its expressions-of-interest campaign closing November 12.

The 3860ha farm, near Binda in the Southern Tablelands region, has been held by the family since the 1860s.

At one stage it comprised 24,000 acres (9700ha), and even today the farm is one of the largest within a three-hour radius of Sydney.

It is home to the oldest country racecourse in Australia. Its Binda Picnic race meeting, which is now run in March, was initially held on Boxing Day, the first event being in 1848.

Funny Hill was briefly offered to the market in late 2022 by James and Felicity Carr, who have been improving the property since the 1970s, transitioning it to a 2200-head commercial Angus cow herd.

Inglis Rural agent Sam Triggs said it was being offered as a going concern.

Funny Hill has almost 10km of Crookwell River frontage, several creeks and 64 dams, together with its annual rainfall of 854mm (34 inches).

It has an 1864 six-bedroom stone/brick homestead in award-winning gardens, plus an 1875 schoolhouse, and 16-stand classic woolshed that dates back to 1906, when about 50,000 sheep were being shorn annually.

The property has two airstrips.

NOT ABLE TO SCORE A SALE

The Kirribilli home of Denis Cubis, who played for the North Sydney Bears in the 1960s, and his wife Beryl was passed in at its weekend auction.

The four-bedroom apartment, which comes with its own private marina berth, cost $1.6 million in 1995.

It attracted a sole $10 million bid.

DiJones’s Nigel Mukhi had a $12.5 million guide for the two-storey Elamang Ave harbourfront abode.

LISTING HOUSE OF A DRAGON

St George Illawarra Dragons player Kyle Flanagan is selling his two-bedroom Woolooware apartment that currently has a $750-a-week tenant.

Flanagan was a $650,000 first home buyer in 2018.

Married last weekend to Caity Airey, the couple recently bought their first home for $2.65 million in Burraneer.

The 1960s ground-floor apartment is listed through Gibson Partners, which is seeking mid-$700,000s.

ONE FOR THE RECORD BOOKS

The Bondi Beach apartment that sold for a national one-bedroom record of $11 million has been bought by the Stamas family of Melbourne.

The Notts Ave abode was sold through Alexander Phillips of PPD by Darrell Grundy from Apex Digital Billboards.

He bought the then two-bedroom apartment for $10 million in 2021, with the renovations estimated to have cost $802,000.
