A massage therapist has admitted he repeatedly groped and touched two men during their appointments at a shop in Westfield Miranda.

Shutao Huang, 49, pleaded guilty to two counts of sexually touching a person without consent in Sutherland Local Court on Monday.

Agreed facts tendered to court said Huang was working as a manager at MA Massage in Westfield Miranda when a regular customer attended the shop in September 2022 for an hour long full-body massage.

His usual therapist was not working so the man agreed to have Huang massage him.

The man removed his clothes once in the room, wrapped a towel around his waist and Huang started to massage him.

Shutao Huang will be sentenced in Sutherland Local Court.

Huang worked on the man’s upper thigh when he flicked the towel over and briefly touched the man’s genital area.

Huang did this again while he massaged the man’s other leg but the man ignored it.

Huang then stood at the head of the bed and as he leaned over to massage the man’s lower back, the man could feel Huang’s genitals touching his head.

While the man lay on his back, Huang leaned in and lightly touched his lips and nose to the man, who did not say anything but moved away out of discomfort.

Huang then flipped the towel to expose the man’s genitals again before the man lightly shoved him away with his shoulder.

The man left the room a short time later after he felt further discomfort, cutting the appointment short before he paid and left.

The man reported the incident to police that night before officers spoke to Huang at his workplace and he denied massaging a male customer.

The man later identified Huang through a photo and he was arrested.

In another incident in January last year, a different man went to the shop and requested a massage on his forearms and fingers only.

Huang led him to a room before he stood face-to-face with the man and began rubbing one of his hands on the left side of the man’s rib cage.

Huang massaged the man’s right inner forearm for a few minutes while he lay face down on the bed, before Huang moved the man’s hand to his crotch area as he massaged his back.

The man moved his hand away before Huang instantly put the man’s hand back in the same position, prompting the man to ask, “what are you doing?”

Huang did not respond before he told the man to turn over onto his back.

A short time later Huang had his arm on the man’s crotch, and the man again questioned what he was doing.

Huang then pinched the man’s nipples and the man said, “mate, what the f--k are you doing?” before he began rubbing the man’s chest.

The man was in disbelief before Huang told him “we’re finished” and the man, who was distressed with what had occurred, left the room and reluctantly paid.

The man told his wife and went to the police station the same day to report the unwanted touching.

Police made inquiries over months to get business records to ascertain who was working before they learnt Huang was charged for the first incident.

The second man also identified a photo of Huang and he was again arrested and charged.

In court, Huang initially pleaded not guilty to both charges which were due to be defended at a hearing but he entered a guilty pleas.

Huang will be sentenced in May.
