NT Easter school holidays activity list

Territory school students are egg-cited for their upcoming school holidays, with so many activities to take advantage of. See a list of what’s on offer.

Larrakeyah Primary School students are hopping into the Easter school holidays, with plenty in store for the 10-day break.

School holidays start on Good Friday, April 7, and students will return on April 17.

Year 5 and 6 students Amelia and Piper, decked out in their best Easter bunny costumes, said they were very excited for their time off.

“I’m most excited about sailing on my dad’s ship and going to Pine Creek,” Piper said.

“I get to go to Bali for a week and I might be able to swim with fish,” Amelia said.

Larrakeyah Primary School principal Fathma Mauger said she too was looking forward to a bit of a break.
“Term one was highly productive with a strong focus on setting individual learning goals and focused teaching,” she said.

“The Easter break gives time to relax, unwind, spend time with family and friends before recharging for another busy school term.”

The Northern Territory’s Youth Week will coincide with the Easter break, hosting a range of free activities for kids looking for something to do.

Students can join in on almost 300 events across Darwin, Palmerston, East Arnhem, Katherine, Barkly and Alice Springs.

Popular Alice Springs event Parrtjima Festival is also on throughout the school holidays, boasting a full schedule of free and premium activities.

Kids in Katherine will not miss out either, with the town square hosting a free youth concert on April 12.
