One of three alleged offenders involved in a chilling late-night home invasion, where Toowoomba residents were allegedly threatened at gunpoint, is set to apply for bail.

Police allege the trio, Brandon Duncan, 27, Beverly Alice Faye Hinch, 37, and 21-year-old Jack Andrew Perrin, were all involved in the incident which occurred at Glenvale on January 9, 2024.

Following the alleged violent robbery, the Toowoomba Magistrates Court heard two people were in bed about 11pm when .22 rifles were levelled at their heads.

They were allegedly threatened to hand over their property, or their brains would be ‘blown out’.

Guns were allegedly held to the heads of residents of a Toowoomba home, in a horror home invasion that has led to the three arrests.

The trio were soon arrested and taken into custody after the alleged stolen car they were driving broke down southwest of Pittsworth.

In the early stage of the investigation, police said the alleged offenders were unknown to the victims.

Hinch has more than 20 charges before the court relating to a number of alleged incidents, including the violent armed robbery and break-in, which includes; assault in a domestic violence setting, fraud, drug possession, and stealing.

On Friday, March 22, the Toowoomba Magistrates Court heard Hinch intended to plead guilty to the less serious charges before the court, however the violent robbery charge needed to be committed to a higher court.

Hinch is scheduled to apply for bail on April 23, following her plea.

When Hinch applied for bail days after the incident, which was refused, the court heard she was allegedly the getaway driver and not the lead offender.

A day prior, the court heard Perrin’s lawyers were yet to receive a full brief of evidence, however some evidence was handed over.

Solicitor Clair Graham said some of the missing items included six statements.

Police prosecutor Nicholas Pratt told the court he would ensure progress was being made in relation to the outstanding statements.

His case will next be mentioned before the court on April 11.
