Fashion designer Wayney Cooper was back behind bars on Friday after allegedly breaching his bail on domestic violence charges.
The 61-year-old was arrested at 8am in northern NSW after allegedly failing to meet one of his bail conditions in relation to charges of allegedly assaulting his wife, Elizabeth Adams, whom he married last year.
Cooper was placed on the bail conditions after he was charged with two counts of assaulting Ms Adams at a Bondi hotel earlier this month.
It is understood Cooper allegedly failed to report to police as part of his bail conditions, resulting in the arrest.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said the 61-year-old was arrested in Myocum before being taken to Byron Bay Police Station where he was charged with one count of breach of bail.
The UK born designer appeared in Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday via audio-visual link, where he was again released on bail.
He has pleaded not guilty to domestic violence-related common assault and is scheduled to face Waverley Local Court on May 19 where he will also face another charge of contravening an AVO, which he is expected to contest.
