Fashion designer Wayne Cooper and Elizabeth Adams made their whirlwind romance official on Friday, when they tied the knot in an intimate “non wedding” ceremony in their Byron Bay home.

Nine months after meeting and falling “instantly in love”, Cooper and Adams were joined by 50 family and friends in their own private garden for what was described as “an infectious display of love and affection”.

“I have finally found that special, truly unique one-of-a-kind girl who I adore,” Cooper told Sunday Confidential.

“She is my soulmate and best friend, we are inseparable and so happy .

Adams, a mother of two girls and former UBS investment bank employee, said the ceremony showcased the power of love and celebrated new and fresh beginnings.

“I came to Byron Bay for a small break , focused on my personal goals,” she said.

“Looking for love was by no means on my agenda — and then along came Wayne! He wears his heart on his sleeve and is very open and loving. I feel so incredibly blessed to have met Wayne and to be building this new life together.”

Surrounded by close friends, family, and a select group of esteemed guests, including Delvene Delaney, and Deke and Eve Miskin, the couple exchanged heartfelt vows in a picturesque setting that perfectly reflected their unique personalities and shared values.

“Even though we had discussed being married, Wayne’s proposal was a perfect surprise and so genuine,” Adams said.

“That’s what I love so much about him, he is brutally honest and open — take it or leave it.

“His close friends will tell you the same.

“We have both chosen not to label our union as an official wedding.

“Instead, we view it as a celebration of our love, a testament to our commitment, and an opportunity to inspire others to embrace love in all its forms.”

A guest at the wedding commented: “This was the most sincere, heartfelt ceremony I’ve ever witnessed.

“The vows had most of the guests in tears. We all knew they were in love but had no idea that such a powerful and loving bond existed between these two.

“It was just beautiful to witness.”

Cooper said: “The ceremony was a true reflection of our shared journey. I had the best day expressing our desire to pursue love and personal growth together in front of our dearest family and friends. I am so excited for the future.”
