Queensland weather: Road closures due to flash flooding, emergency alerts, school closures

More than 70 roads across Queensland were closed due to flash flooding, including dozens across the southeast on Tuersday after a 300mm deluge. Emergency alerts are also active.

More than 70 roads are closed across Queensland as flash flooding impacts large parts of the state. Many are located north of Brisbane where 300mm fell overnight.

Emergency alerts are also active for the Lockyer Valley.

Five schools remain closed on Wednesday morning in the aftermath of the rain that lashed South East Queensland on Tuesday.

The warnings said schools would re-open when access was granted and urged people to contact schools for local arrangements.
