A man has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed with a broken bottle at a house in Mount Isa overnight.
Emergency services were called to a residence on Barton St and Gardner St in Pioneer at 1.45am Friday, after reports a man aged in his 20s was stabbed in the chest.
A police spokesman said early reports indicated he had been stabbed with a broken bottle following an argument.
Paramedics treated him for a serious chest wound before taking him to Mount Isa Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident and will interview the man once he has recovered from his injuries.
