A man has died after becoming trapped underneath his lawnmower on a rural property west of Brisbane.
Paramedics were called to a private property at Tallegalla, west of Ipswich, about 6.19pm on Monday night where the man was found caught under the ride-on mower.
The man in his 50s was found in a critical condition and paramedics tried to resuscitate him.
Sadly, he couldn’t be saved.
Queensland Police Forensic Crash Unit also attended the property.
Elderly neighbours who share a mailbox with the deceased man said they heard the street was filled with emergency service responders last night.
The couple said they knew something bad was happening from the loud sirens and noises they heard.
“It is so tragic, they only moved here recently,” they added.
The deceased man’s property was at the end of a very windy dirt road, neighbours said the postman doesn’t go down it.
The house was on a decline so could not be properly seen from the road.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
