Emergency services battle truck fire Ooralea

Emergency services rushed to the scene of a blaze in south of Mackay after reports of a car-carrier truck on fire.

Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a blaze in south of Mackay after reports of a car-carrier truck on fire in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Three fire crews attended the scene at Schmidtkes Road, Ooralea around 5.17am.

A spokesman for Queensland Fire Department said the truck, loaded with multiple cars was up in flames when crews arrived.

Multiple cars were also on fire.

The origins of the blaze are yet to be determined with police and firefighters investigating.

Police requested anyone who may have information regarding the vehicle fire to come forward.
