Dunmore man flown to hospital after 500kg hay bale falls on him

A second hay bale tragedy has struck Queensland in days, leaving a man fighting for life after being crushed by 500kg of hay.

A male in his 40s has been flown to Toowoomba Hospital in potentially life-threatening condition after a hay bale fell on him.

The incident occurred at a workplace in Dunmore about 8.17am when it was reported a 500kg hay bale fell on the man.

He was flown with head and chest injuries.

This incident occurs days after a woman died in Roma as a result of a hay bale falling on her.

Emergency services were called to the incident at the Roma Salesyards at 6.50am on December 3.
