Police investigate alleged Toowoomba stabbing after man taken to hospital with wound
Police have launched an investigation after a man was wounded in an alleged stabbing in a Toowoomba street.
A neighbour has recalled hearing someone yelling “help” from the area where a man was wounded in an alleged stabbing attack overnight in Toowoomba.
Police are investigating after emergency crews rushed to Gleeson Crescent at Harlaxton about 4.15am following calls about the suspected assault.
Dried blood splatters can be seen in the driveway of a home on the street where multiple police and paramedics crews arrived.
Queensland Police Service confirmed a man, aged in this 30s, suffered an upper arm puncture wound.
He was taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition with an arm injury, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said.
A neighbour, who asked to remain anonymous, recalled hearing a lot of yelling including someone saying “help”.
He said three police cars arrived as well as two ambulance crews.
Police were investigating the circumstances behind the stabbing and are appealing to anyone with relevant information, CCTV or dashcam vision to come forward.
