Man, 55, dies after fatal bicycle crash on Mowbray River Road near Port Douglas
A man in his 50s has died after he lost control while riding his bicycle in the early hours of the morning.

A 55-year-old man has died after he crashed his bicycle at Mowbray about 3.30am on Sunday morning.
Initial investigations show the man from Bonnie Doon lost control and crashed at the road edge of the southbound lane as he was riding his bike along Mowbray River Road away from Port Douglas.
The man was found by a passing motorist but he was unresponsive with a head injury.
The motorist called emergency services but the man was declared dead at the scene shortly after.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
