Bailey James Fraser charged with drug possession, supply, proceeds of crime and driving while disqualified

A 24-year-old Lismore man was allegedly busted with more than $23,000 cash and supplying a prohibited drug. Here is what police allege.

A Lismore man has allegedly been busted with more than $23,000 cash and supplying an indictable quantity of cannabis leaf.

Bailey James Fraser, 24, appeared before Magistrate Annette Sinclair in Lismore Local Court on Monday.

He is facing charges of possessing a prohibited drug and recklessly dealing with proceeds of crime over $5000.

Fraser is also charged with deemed supply of a prohibited drug – supplying an indictable amount cannabis less than commercial quantity.

Additionally he’s facing a charge of driving a motor vehicle during disqualification period – second offence.

Police will allege in court that between 4pm and 5.30pm on November 27, 2023, at Goonellabah, in Lismore, Fraser recklessly dealt with proceeds of crime, having in his custody $23,120 cash.

Police will further allege on the same date Fraser supplied a prohibited plant – cannabis leaf.

Mr Dakin upheld Fraser’s bail conditions, releasing him on conditional liberty until his next appearance before the same court on July 28 where he is expected to be sentenced.
