The highly anticipated Grand Parade returned to the Ekka today, featuring more than 500 extraordinary animals of all shapes and sizes.
The parade is a beloved tradition on the People’s Day public holiday, with a jam-packed crowd expected to flock to the arena to get a glimpse of Australia’s favourite cute, cuddly, wacky and wild beasts.
A huge range of animals were on show from tiny fish to huge champion bulls, along with classic Ekka fan favourites including ribbon-winning goats, beef cattle, dairy cattle, cats, dogs, horses and alpacas.

Winners from the show’s flower, garden, fine arts and cookery competitions also made guest appearances, and attendees were asked to keep an eye out for the popular Ekka Miss Showgirl.
