Matt Damon spotted at the Ekka

Hollywood star Matt Damon has been spotted taking in the sights and showbags at the Ekka.

Hollywood actor Matt Damon has definitely earned the title of “honorary Aussie”, after being spotted enjoying a day at the Ekka.

The A-lister was photographed at the showbag pavilion with Former Broncos captain Darius Boyd’s wife, Kayla Boyd.

Damon, 51 was spotted earlier this week picnicking at the beach in Byron with his wife Luciana Barroso, 46, and daughters Isabella, 15, Gia, 13 and Stella, 11, as well as Aussie actor Luke Hemsworth and wife, Samantha.

The actor has been a frequent visitor to Queensland and northern New South Wales in recent years, even rumoured to be purchasing property at Byron Bay.

He visited Queensland’s North Stradbroke Island in 2018 and Brisbane last year while filming Thor: Love and Thunder with Aussie mate Chris Hemsworth.

While in the River City he was spotted having a morning flutter and beer at a pub, browsing a jewellery store, and was guest of honour at a luncheon for domestic violence charity Safe Haven, to which he donated $10,000.
