The game-changing hack that helped me organise my fridge
Not only will it mean less food wastage, but it'll also encourage your kids to eat more fruits and veggies—yes, really!

Let's face it, most things that go into your fridge crisper don't make it back out.
It's a graveyard for all your best-set plans — the healthy bookmarked recipes and the meal-prepped carrot sticks that will remain forever un-prepped.
After your weekly grocery shop, you'll shove all your fruits and veggies in there and then promptly forget about them until next week's shop when you need somewhere to put your new fruits and veggies. And so the cycle repeats itself.
Somehow, the traditional crisper setup just doesn't work, even though the drawer is literally clear, something about it being at the bottom of your fridge and it needing to be manually pulled out just creates two too many barriers to cross.
Surely, there has to be a better way.
Hint: there is, and you already know that because you clicked on this article.

The game-changing way to organise your fridge
It all started where all good things don't... on TikTok, mindlessly scrolling at 11 pm. But the sleep deprivation was all worth it after I stumbled across a game-changing fridge organisation video.
The clip, shared by a mum with ADHD, promised to optimise your fridge, a.k.a. keep it neat and tidy so you can actually see and then eat the groceries you buy.
Most people, ADHD or not, will benefit from this hack, though - including families, as it will put fruit and veg front and centre so your kids will reach for them more.
Introducing our new podcast: Mum Club! Listen and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts so you never miss an episode.
It all starts by putting your condiments, usually kept in the fridge door, in your crisper.
Yes, all of them.
If you’re a condiment hoarder like me, you’ll probably have your entire fridge door jammed packed with them. Well, you're going to take them all out, clear out your crisper and place all the jars and sauces in Tetris-style to make everything fit.
I know this is going to feel weird, but trust me, there’s a method to the madness. As the woman who brought us this genius tip says, "I spent so much of my life trying to change myself to fit my environment and I just realised that there are no home organisation police waiting to bust in and insist I do things the 'right' way."
The theory behind this tip is that when you need a condiment, you usually know which one you want, so you will go and find that specific one, so they don't need to be front and centre, taking up prime fridge real estate.
Instead, you want to open your fridge when you’re hungry and think 'what do I have?'
And here comes the kicker. So, once you take out your fruit and veg from the crisper, you're gong to put them in the fridge door! Not only does this mean you’ll have healthy snacks when you want them, it’ll also mean no forgotten food left in the crisper to die.

"I can't wait to try this out"
After sharing my newfound hack on my Instagram, my friends went nuts.
"Wait, this is so smart," said one.
"The absolute tectonic shift of a game changer this is," raved another.
"I can't believe I didn't think about this sooner," shared another.
I've got to admit, out of all the sh*t hacks I've come across online, this is one of the goodies.
Since switching up my fridge, opening it feels exciting again and not at all daunting, and I'm no longer worried about what rotting produce I'm going to find, hidden away from eyesight.
