A mum recently made a horrifying discovery in her kitchen after she put off cleaning behind her toaster for longer than she'd like to admit.
Taking to the Tea Time Facebook group, used to divulge guilty secrets, the Aussie woman said: "I'm throwing myself out here, but the tea is I've been putting off cleaning behind my toaster, but today I found a pigeon behind there. 😂😂😂"

"A crumb of a backstory, please"
Naturally, hundreds of concerned group members rushed to the comments.
"Wait, what?! Was it dead?!" asked one.
"Ummm, sorry that needed a trigger warning, how sad :(" wrote another.
"Please m'aam, a crumb of a backstory, please," a third insisted. "So many questions that need answered."
"We're going to need more context," echoed someone else.
Realising how much interest there was, and perhaps how little detail she initially gave, the mum quickly updated her post with details and a much-requested video.
"It was alive!!" she confirmed.
"I honestly have no idea how it got there and how long it's been living in my house. It was just chilling."

In the video, the mum asks her daughter, "What is that?" and her daughter responds, "It's a magpie! I saw it when it was going to get a snack."
The mum then pans the camera towards the toaster, nestled in the corner of her kitchen. To her surprise, a pigeon peeks its head out from behind and when she moves the toaster, you can see that its sitting amongst a lot of crumbs.
The woman then pats its head while her daughter can be heard saying, "Mum, just steal it."
"She wanted me to keep it. She's like, It's already living in the house, haha," the mum explained.

"Just trying to make herself some breakfast"
"This is actually so funny!!" someone replied.
"Oh, so it's a homing pigeon," quipped another.
And a different woman said: "She was just trying to make herself some breakfast."
"I’d buy a whole new toaster so fast just in case it sh*t in the toaster," claimed one.
"You had a crumb problem, he had an accommodation problem. It was a mutually beneficial arrangement," another summarised.
