We all get a small heart palpitation when we look at the price of certain grocery items these days, but this one nearly gave us a full-blown heart attack.
A shopper recently picked up a packet of chicken thighs at ALDI and was left gobsmacked to see the pricetag.
The packet of protein was originally priced at $310.18 but was generously marked down to just $248.09!
What a steal!

"ALDI, Good Different"
The customer snapped a photo of the comically overpriced chicken and shared it to the ALDI Mums Facebook group, where their post quickly gained attention from fellow fans of the budget retailer.
One user joked: "I hope you snapped that one up real quick. Feed the family for under $250!"

Another quipped: "Talk about inflation!" while someone else added: "I'd pick up 10 of them. What a deal!"
Meanwhile, others had much drier responses: "Don't laugh about it. You're probably looking at future prices the way things are going."
"You didn't buy it? Just dumb," another said.
"I hope someone did not get screwed and bought this. It's terrible. Some people don't check prices. They just pay and go," another group member shared.
The author then followed up on their post and wrote: "After I took the photo, I handed the packet over to a staff member."

Another hilarious labelling error
It's not the first time ALDI fans have been amused by a labelling mistake.
In April, a customer shared that they found a product with an unusually long shelf-life.
"ALDI Australia croissants with 46 years of shelf life. Purchased Sunday 7/04/24," the shopper wrote alongside a photo of the Bakers Life croissants.
The packet of baked goods had a label that read: "Display until 06/01/70" and "Best before 07/01/70."
"I could eat them on my 100th birthday!" said one person in the comments. Another shopper chimed in by pointing out that he could be 54 years too late. "Or are they already off?" they asked. "Could be from the 1970s 😂."
Another shopper joked: "That's good bang for your buck."
