Walt Disney once said, “Disneyland is your land”, but there’s one mum who strongly disagrees.
A woman was enjoying the park on her own when she had a strange encounter while waiting in line for Space Mountain.
She’d unknowingly upset the small family standing behind her.

"Something's really bothering me"
A TikToker, Unplugged Moments, retold the story she read on Reddit.
“The wife says out loud to her husband, ‘I’ll never understand why grown adults come here without kids,’” the woman recounted.
“I assumed she made that comment directly towards me but I wasn’t sure, so I ignored it.”
Unfortunately, it didn’t end there.
The lone Disney fan soon felt a tap on the shoulder.
“I turn around and she goes, ‘Excuse me, something’s really bothering me,’” she explained.
Curious, she asked the mum what the issue was—only to be left completely gobsmacked by her response.
“She goes, ‘I just need to know—can you tell me why you are here without kids? It seems a little creepy and pedo,’” the woman shared.
“I said, ‘Huh?’ and she continued, ‘Yeah, it’s creepy that you’re here without kids. This is a family place.’”

"She had her happiest times here"
Shocked by the mum’s insinuation, the woman quickly defended herself.
“I said, ‘I didn’t know there was a policy that you had to have kids with you, number one. Number two, I bought a ticket and came in here and no one said anything to me, so I didn’t think there was a problem,’” the tourist explained.
When she asked the mum if she had a problem, the response was blunt: “Yes, I do.”
While the woman concedes she doesn’t owe an explanation, she decided to give one anyway.
“This was one of the last places that I took my grandmother before she got sick and she passed away,” the woman revealed.
“She said that this was the best place that she’s ever been to. She had her happiest times here.”
Every year, on the anniversary of her grandmother’s death, the woman visits the park to feel closer to her late loved one.
“I come here to be alone so I can remember the wonderful times that I had with my grandmother,” she explained.
Her explanation took the wind out of the mum’s sails.
“She looked mortified, her husband looked mortified,” the woman said.

TikTok commenters were horrified by the mum’s behaviour.
“We should be allowed to punch one person per visit,” one person joked.
“People need to mind their business,” another said.
One commenter praised her composure, writing: “You’re a better person than me.”
In a small twist of fate, an employee who overheard the exchange added the woman to a different fast-track line to await her turn on the ride.
