Sweet lovers rejoice, a $2.5 million dessert factory is set to open in Brisbane.
Dubbed the Dream Factory, it will be a headquarters and production facility for popular Queensland eatery and cocktail bar, Cowch, launching in Morningside, in the city’s east.
Designed to improve the quality of their products, the site will allow the business to make more than 80 per cent of their desserts by hand, including gelato, pancakes, waffles, crepes, churro mix, waffle cone mix, crumble, brownie and syrups.
“We have four phenomenal million-dollar venues and we really wanted to take our experience to the next level,” said Cowch owner Arif Memis.
“We want to make sure our customers do not just have an exceptional experience, but they are indulging in the best quality desserts and cocktails.”
To ensure the sweets are the best possible, the Dream Factory will be run by a team of Australian pastry chefs, led by Nicole Bashinsky and Rhian Shellshear (ex-Quay, Adriano Zumbo and Messina Gelato).
The factory will open on October 18, providing desserts for the Cowch outlets in Chermside, South Bank, Broadbeach, and Garden City. It won’t be open to the public.
