AFTER six years at Sunshine Coast fine dining icon The Long Apron in Montville, head chef Chris Hagan has left.
Fire-powered restaurant to open in Brisbane’s bayside
The culinary whiz will takeover the kitchen at hugely popular Noosa Italian eatery Locale from February 2, after finishing his last shift at the Spicers Retreats-owned Long Apron over the weekend.
“[I] thought it would be a good challenge and [opportunity to] learn something new from a high-volume restaurant that still puts produce first,” he said, with Locale renowned for using fruit, vegetables and herbs grown at its own Maravista Farm in the Noosa Hinterland.

Mr Hagan said he would be changing the menu at Locale, with local produce destined to star.
The Long Apron at Spicers Clovelly Estate is interviewing for Mr Hagan’s replacement, with a new chef to be appointed soon.
