A shopping centre food court is probably the last place you would expect to find some of Brisbane’s best noodles, but that’s just what is on the menu at Lanzhou. Sure, the eatery is a chain, but each restaurant has a team of highly experienced chefs who hand make all noodles to order. In fact, you can stand and watch the team – many with decades on their resume – pull, stretch, twist and slap the dough into perfect strands of various thicknesses depending on what you order. They are then served with everything from braised lamb to hot spicy beef in a giant bowl that will leave you full all day.
