It’s become an internet sensation around the globe, now this sweet treat will be available for Australians to try for the first time, at one of three South East Queensland venues. Find out where you can give it a try.

Lemon puff cheesecake

It’s the simple dessert that’s taken the world by storm, viewed almost 700,000 times on YouTube, now the Japanese air cheesecake is coming to Brisbane.

Queensland-based restaurant chain Harajuku Gyoza will roll out the viral sweet trend made famous by YouTuber Emmymade, using a recipe found on the back of packs of Philadelphia cream cheese sold in Japan.

The domed dish is made using just cream cheese, sugar and whipped cream.

The cakes cost only $6 and come in two versions: original with a dusting of kinako powder and a pot of brown sugar syrup for pouring over the top; and an incarnation with a white chocolate and matcha sauce.

The desserts will be available at Harajuku Gyoza restaurants in Brisbane City, Broadbeach and South Brisbane.
