From a nomination pool of hundreds of lash technicians and after a week of voting, our readers have crowned Brisbane’s No 1 lash technician.

Competition in Brisbane’s best lash technicians was fierce.

With over 800 initial nominations and over 4000 comments we short-listed 60 of the most popular businesses.

Almost every day of the voting period the eventual winner was sitting in either first, or second place, with just a few votes between the two positions.

We can now reveal Brisbane’s best lash technician has been crowned.

Congratulations to our Top. 10 for 2023 and huge thanks to all our readers for voting.

What sets your business apart from the competition?

I think what sets me apart from other lash technicians is that I’ve been in the industry for almost 5 years now so I’ve got a lot of experience behind me. I’m super close with majority of my clients, I know them and they know me on a personal level. Most of my clients I’ve known for nearly 5 years now so you can imagine how much we’ve gotten to know each other — it’s beyond a professional relationship and I think that’s what sets me apart.

What would you like Brisbane to know about you?

I don’t usually say things like this about myself, but I’ve worked really hard for this business and it’s surreal to see myself getting recognition. I love my job so much and just want to express my gratitude. I want Brisbane to know that there are so many amazing lash technicians out there now. There really is something for everyone! I’m just a lash technician who grew up and still lives in Logan. It’s so cool to know that I can take part (along with many other talent) in putting Logan on the map.

What would you like to say to the fans who voted for you?

To everyone who took the time out to vote for me, I’m so grateful for all of you. My business is my whole life and things like this mean so much to me. The lash industry doesn’t get as much recognition as other beauty sectors, so being voted for competitions like this helps lash technicians receive the exposure we deserve! I feel very rewarded — so from the bottom of my heart, thank you to each and every one of you who voted for me. Love you all!

What sets your business apart from the competition?

Over the past year, I have shifted my focus from providing lash services to lash education. After a year of spilling my brain on a page, I have developed an Online Lash Accelerator Course and fostered a vibrant community of students.

Launching Cultivated Beauty Academy last month, February 2023, I have already trained 20 students to become successful Eyelash Technicians and generate income from their work.

Drawing upon my 5 years of experience as a lash artist and running a thriving business, my goal is to educate, empower, and inspire others to take the leap and become their own boss.

Watching my students thrive fills me with so much happiness and satisfaction. It is extremely rewarding and I am eager to help more individuals transform their lives and love what they do.

What would you like Brisbane to know about you?

As the owner of JB Beauty, I want people to know that I am extremely passionate about the beauty industry, providing the best possible service to my clients and making them feel empowered. I take pride in offering a personalised and customised approach to each client ensuring they leave feeling confident and beautiful.

I am constantly keeping up to date with my skills and the latest trends in the industry and only ever using the highest quality products to guarantee my clients are getting value for money.

I value exceptional customer service, and strive to create a warm and welcoming environment to all my clients. My business is flexible and accommodating, offering convenient scheduling options to fit everyone’s busy lifestyles.

Overall, I want people to know that I am dedicated to providing an exceptional experience to every client that walks through my door.

Your business has been named as Brisbane’s best, what was your initial reaction?

I was in shock! I knew our support network has always been amazing but this voting process has really highlighted how strong it really is. We are so flattered to have made it in the top 10 let alone be voted first!

What sets your business apart from the competition?

I am so proud to operate our business offering sustainable lashing techniques. This means our lashes are designed and applied in a way that will not cause damage to natural lashes and we take pride in enhancing our clients natural features. We want our clients to look back at photos of themselves with our lashes on and think “damn, I look good” not “what the heck was I thinking?!”

What would you like Brisbane to know about you?

We opened our second location of KLIF in January this year, on the waterside of Newport Marketplace. A premium new shopping precinct in Redcliffe. We are a beauty collective, home to Brisbane’s best specialists in their field including lashes, brows, hair, skin and injectables

What would you like to say to the fans who voted for you?

Without you, we wouldn’t be here. We wouldn’t be able to do what we love, meet you, care for you and help you find your best you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support over the years and for continuing to be our cheerleaders.
