The Transport Minister has accused Gympie MP Tony Perrett of trying to distract Gympie flood victims from their much-smaller payouts, after Mr Perrett revealed the Bruce Hwy north of Gympie was about to be dug up for the third time in three years.
Police in the western area of the Gympie region have released details about the many drivers who ignored flooded road and bridge closed signs to drive through floodwaters during the deadly February 2022 disaster.
