It seems Zac Efron has been enjoying a quintessential Queensland experience while filming his Netflix series in the state’s far north.
After the Hollywood star reportedly spent time in the Mission Beach area, south of Cairns, earlier this week, including a visit to Castaways resort, a nearby pie shop has claimed he stopped in for a bite.
Sonia from Tully Pies told Hit Queensland breakfast show Cliffo & Gabi that she believed Efron and his entourage on the Down to Earth with Zac Efron series visited the shop on the final day of COVID-19 restrictions this week, meaning they were all wearing masks.
“I thought ‘Wow they are quite handsome’ and dressed for tully, well it’s a bit different,” Sonia told the radio hosts.
“The entourage was seen going up to the local gorge, the Tully gorge.”
When it came to the pie order, Sonia said: “We can pretty much narrow it down to the kangaroo or the plain pie.”
Efron was spotted in Brisbane last weekend before he reportedly went north to Cairns.
The US actor, who recently took up residency in Byron Bay, has been travelling Australia in recent weeks with his brother, Dylan Efron, and their team filming the second season of his Netflix series, which explores nature, cultures and sustainable living around the world.
