EXTREME sports fans are advised that Nitro Circus’ You Got This show at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane has been rescheduled due to forecast extreme weather from Cyclone Oma.

But it’s not all bad news, with the change of date meaning Brisbane punters will now experience Nitro Circus under Suncorp Stadium’s lights for the first time.

VIP ticket holders will have access from 5pm.

The Bureau of Meteorology issued a cyclone watch from Bundaberg to Ballina including Brisbane, the Gold and Sunshine coasts as Cyclone Oma continues its ominous approach.

President of Nitro Circus Andy Edwards said safety was paramount for both riders and extreme sports fans.

“Given the severity of weather forecast as the cyclone approaches this weekend, moving the show forward was the only option and is the best possible outcome for Brisbane Nitro fans.

“They will now get the added bonus of seeing the all new show under lights which has never happened before in Brisbane.

“The riders are very excited about throwing down in front of this massive Brisbane crowd.

“Great tickets are still available, to what is going to be the biggest crowd in Australian Nitro Circus history,” he said in a statement.

Suncorp Stadium General Manager, Alan Graham said that the weather forecast was very favourable on Friday but conditions were set to deteriorate significantly over the course of the weekend.

“We have been monitoring weather updates and have been in regular contact with the promoters of Nitro Circus. Given the importance of a dry track and manageable wind conditions for the stunt riders, it was decided to bring the event forward,” Mr Graham said.

If patrons are unable to use their tickets on Friday night and they have not been scanned at the Stadium — a full refund for the value printed on their ticket will be provided.

For patrons who purchased their ticket via the Ticketek website or call centre, refunds will be processed automatically to the credit card on which the ticket was bought.

Patrons who have arranged travel and accommodation for the event and are unable to attend on Friday are advised to contact their travel insurance provider.
