BRISBANE’s radio seesaw has continued with Triple M leapfrogging the competition to claim the radio double for the first time in 12 years, as Nova suffered a blow.
Triple M’s The Big Breakfast with Marto, Robin & The Moonman won the Brisbane breakfast radio crown, with a 12.3 per cent audience share, while the station was Brisbane’s most listened to overall, Monday to Friday, in the seventh radio survey of the year, released today.

While celebrating breakfast host Robin Bailey’s birthday, the network this morning claimed it was the first time the station held both number one spots at the same time in 12 years.
It came as Nova 106.9 suffered a series of blows, slipping 1.2 points overall to become Brisbane’s third most listened to station, Monday to Friday, with an 11.5 per cent audience share.
Breakfast show Ash, Kip & Luttsy with Susie O’Neill also dropped 1.8 points to a 10.1 per cent audience share, third behind Hit 105’s Stav, Abby and Matt, who, despite a massive 2.2 point drop, held 11.2 per cent of the audience.
Hit 105 took second spot overall with 12 per cent of the audience, behind Triple M on 12.4 per cent.
In drive Hit 105’s Hughesy and Kate recorded an impressive win, toppling Nova’s Kate, Tim and Marty for the first time in Brisbane.
The national show gained 1.7 points to reach 14.2 per cent of the audience, compared to 13.7 per cent for Nova — in what was a loss of a mammoth two points.
Meanwhile 97.3’s Bianca, Mike and Bob also fell 1.9 points to 9.1 per cent, putting them behind both ABC and 4KQ.
While ABC held top spot in the AM options for breakfast with 9.9 per cent, the survey was positive for 4KQ’s Laurel, Gary and Mark, who gained a mammoth 1.9 points to hold a 9.3 per cent audience share.
Overall 4KQ was the most listened to AM station in Brisbane, Monday to Friday.
