Isla Fisher looks downcast after Sacha Baron Cohen split

Isla Fisher has appeared in public for the first time since her shock split from Sacha Baron Cohen — minus her wedding ring - as Rebel Wilson reveals more about her new book.

Isla Fisher has been seen for the first since she and husband Sacha Baron Cohen announced their shock split.

The Australian actress, 48, appeared downcast as she was photographed taking her dog for a walk in London without her wedding ring.

She dressed down in a floral maxi dress and white leather jacket paired with pink fluffy slippers and sunglasses.

Fisher, who shares two children with Baron Cohen, appeared to be in an animated conversation as she took a call on her mobile phone during the outing with cup in hand.

The couple announced their split after 14 years of marriage in co-ordinated social media posts on Friday.

“After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down,” the posts read.

“In 2023 we jointly filed to end our and Sacha, 52, wore all-white tennis gear as they cuddled together.

“We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been working through this change,” the post continued.

“We forever share in our devotion and love for our children.”

“We sincerely appreciate you respecting our families’ wish for privacy,” the text concluded.

Earlier this week, it was revealed Fisher told friends she consulted a top celebrity divorce lawyer in 2022 in the lead up to her split from Baron Cohen.

“Isla has known for some time the marriage was over, and after some difficult conversations with Sacha, made the decision to consult a divorce lawyer,” The Sun reported, citing an unnamed source.

“This was back in early summer, 2022.”

Celebrity lawyer Fiona Shackleton, who has previously negotiated Prince Charles’ divorce to Princess Diana and Sir Paul McCartney’s split from Heather Mills, was recommended by “mutual contacts”, the source added.

The divorce announcement follows Rebel Wilson’s claim in her new memoir Rebel Rising that Baron Cohen mistreated her on the set of their 2016 movie The Brothers Grimsby.

Wilson said she will never be on a movie set with the actor again.

Appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on April 8, Wilson said no sum of money could convince her to change her mind.

“How much money would it take for you to work with Sacha Baron Cohen again?” Cohen asked,

“No money ever”, the Pitch Perfect star said.

She continued: “I have, now, a no A-holes policy with work.”

Cohen then added more offers of money, with his final offer “$50 million to do a film with Sacha Baron Cohen?”.

Wilson’s position stayed unchanged: “No. No way,” she said.

Baron Cohen representatives said in a statement: “While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.”

Meanwhile, Wilson is celebrating after her memoir made it on the New York Times Best Seller List.

In a social media post on Thursday she said: “OMG I’m already on the NYTimes Best Seller List! Wow! I can’t thank everyone enough for buying my book and to everyone who’s been writing to me saying how they can relate, how they laughed, how they were moved – I wrote it for you! I’m so glad you all are enjoying it!!”

Wilson added the new release date for her book in Australia and the UK was coming soon.
