Kristin Cavallari and Mark Estes “were on different pages” about their “long-term” goals before their break-up.
The “Hills” star, 37, announced her split from the 24-year-old influencer over the weekend, however, an insider told Us Weekly there wasn’t any major drama between the two.
“As they started to get more serious in their relationship, issues started to surface,” the source told the outlet. “They kept having conversations about the future but weren’t aligned.”
Although Cavallari — who is mum to three kids: Camden, 11, Jaxon, 9, and Saylor, 8 — “was open” to the idea of expanding her brood, she “felt very content with her life and family” as they are. “Having another baby was something Kristin wasn’t sure she was on the same page about,” the insider shared.
According to the source, the pair’s 13-year age gap also started to become a “big factor” in their relationship as Cavallari loves being “independent” whereas Estes is looking for something more stable. “Them being in different stages of life was the deal-breaker,” they added.
Despite their split, the source insisted the pair are still on good terms.
“Kristin really liked Mark and enjoyed their time together, and there’s no animosity between them,” they told the outlet.
“They genuinely had a lot of fun but it ran its course. She is excited to focus on herself, her businesses and her kids right now.”
The reality TV star confirmed her new relationship status while appearing on Alex Cooper’s “Unwell” tour live show in Austin, Texas, on Friday.
The “Call Her Daddy” podcaster broke the news after referring to Cavallari as “newly single.” However, the “Laguna Beach” alum didn’t divulge any details about their split at the time.
Just a few weeks prior, Estes appeared on Cavallari’s “Let’s Be Honest” podcast to talk about their future.
During the episode, the Montana Boyz member admitted his “end goal” was to get “married” and “have [his] own kid at the end of the day.”
“But I think we decided to just keep on keeping on,” Estes said at the time. “I don’t think we need to make any serious decisions … right now.”
The pair seemingly broke up shortly after the episode aired.
Cavallari, who shares her kids with ex-husband Jay Cutler, began dating the Tiktokker in February and often gushed about their romance — and “really hot” sex life.
Prior to her romance with the former collegiate athlete, the Uncommon James founder was linked to “Bachelorette” alum Tyler Cameron, country hit maker Chase Rice and comedian Jeff Dye.
