Where is the best spot to rent a house in Tel Aviv, Israel?
My extended family with adult children (10 or more) are planning to go to Israel in July. For renting a house in Tel Aviv, any suggestions what area, and options for holiday rentals? What about transport such as a minibus with driver? A. Wilkin, Russell Lea
Close to the beach is the sweet spot, and those in the know suggest the south part of the beach strip which is close to the city's fashionable areas such as Neve Tzedek, the famous Carmel Market, the Old Train Station Complex and Rothschild Boulevard, the heart of the White City of Tel Aviv, a UNESCO World Heritage area. Look at Airbnb (airbnb.com.au) for rentals, but with a group that size you might have to split up – large apartments that would accommodate your whole group are scarce. Be guided by the reviews.
Dot transfers (dottransfers.com) is one option for a minibus with a driver. Another is Smartrip Israel which you can find if you Google "Tel Aviv minibus with driver", which will also give you several other options.
