There's an instant crush of locals the moment the kitchen opens at 6pm. And no wonder. The pie of the day is the biggest this reviewer has ever seen, and crammed full of rich meaty goodness (beef, bacon and mushroom). A standout is the field mushroom stuffed with feta, sundried tomatoes, roasted capsicum and Spanish onions served with basil pesto: packed with flavour and hearty enough for the most committed carnivore, the vegetables sliced into a colourful riot of swirls and loops. Keep an eye out for Scotty's super surf 'n' turf: tender scotch fillet topped with garlic prawns and half a lobster mornay.
