Maid’s Pantry

Contemporary$$

A visit to Anglesea’s general store isn’t just about collecting the milk and some old-school lollies anymore, thanks to Fairhaven residents Angela Franks and Emma Williams. The duo have launched an airy brunch bar brimming with global flavours. Big and little kids devour fat honeycomb crumpets oozing with vanilla ice-cream and orange blossom glaze; baked eggs are served Spanish-style with chorizo, roasted capsicum and smoked paprika; and fried Indonesian eggs are a delight folded through coconut rice with a peanut and chilli sambal. A two-tier cabinet, laden with fresh salads, wraps, cakes and healthy dinner options, makes takeaway effortless.
