Scott O’Neill acquired his first commercial property in 2015. It was an easy decision for the then 28-year-old who was an avid property investor, but a move that would alter the course of his career, and fortune.
Located in Perth’s outer eastern suburbs, the purchase housed a mini-mart and a fish and chip shop – both businesses that could withstand Western Australia’s economic slowdown. With two income streams, the return on the entry-level asset was enough for O’Neill to leave residential property behind.
