Assange ‘won’t be silenced’ after guilty plea deal

Julian Assange is officially a free man – and a convicted felon – as he jetted into Canberra on Wednesday night to continue campaigning for press freedom amid speculation of a political career.

But the WikiLeaks founder’s guilty plea means any attempt to sell his story could be blocked by the Australian Federal Police, as his wife Stella launches an online appeal for donations to clear a $US520,000 ($782,000) bill for chartering a private plane to fly him home from London.
