Beijing | President Xi Jinping will undertake a rare three-nation South-East Asia tour next week to try to consolidate ties with some of China’s closest regional allies, who are attempting to appease Donald Trump and escape his trade war.
Xi will pay a state visit to Vietnam on Monday before heading to Malaysia and Cambodia in his first overseas trip this year, China’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday.
