What the missives lack in personalisation, they make up for in Trumpian markers. It’s the catchphrases, some ALL CAPS and a Few Instances of Title Case that give it away.

Either US President Donald Trump has an uncanny knack for managing the frustrations of Microsoft Office, or – which is more likely – he has an excellent secretary.

Whatever the case, someone in the White House claimed victory over Microsoft’s wildly irritating mail merge function to dash off letters to the world leaders of Japan, South Korea, Laos, Kazakhstan and seven others on Monday (Tuesday AEST).
