Trump will cost farmers money. But they still voted for him
Farmers, migrants and women were not expected to vote for Donald Trump. They explain why they voted against identity politics, lax immigration controls and globalisation.
Robb Ewoldt, a 52-year-old farmer in Davenport, Iowa, woke up the morning after Donald Trump won the US election “feeling six inches taller”.
Ewoldt was one of 73 million Americans who delivered Trump victory mainly because they were worried about higher prices, illegal immigration, wars and identity politics.
